IJA Miami – Mission Statement
IJA (Islamic Jaffaria Association, INC) Miami was established in 1988 and inaugurated in November 1991 on the auspicious occasion of the Birthday of Bibi Zainab (A.S), the oldest daughter of Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib. The IJA is conveniently located in Hialeah Gardens in Miami Dade County.
It's founding members come from different backgrounds and cultures, but they had one thing in common, their faith, believe in oneness of God, follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and love for Ahle-ul-bayt. Hence, they collectively decided to have a place where they can practice their faith and bring the community together. The IJA community constitutes of people from all over the world. From time-to-time IJA hosts inter-faith gatherings to connect with people from different religions, background and culture. Inviting their speakers and reverends.
IJA has a governing body, which constitutes of 14 Members including a President, and an executive board. IJA is a Nonprofit Organization of Miami. As time went on, IJA has evolved as well. IJA holds OneBlood drives annually to help society by joining the lifesaving mission. Occasionally, arrange food drives for the homeless and in need. In addition, provide financial assistance to community members struggling. During Covid, IJA arranged an on-site covid testing station to serve its local residents. Lastly, the IJA has established a great relationship with the Hialeah Gardens Police Department .
